There honestly cannot be a better moving company out there than Shur-Way. Javier, Nick, Hector and Derick made the stress of moving literally melt away and went over and above so many times during the process that I lost count. Even our new neighbors were asking me if they were as amazing as they seemed to be. Yes yes yes! And their salesperson and customer sales people were just as great. We used Shur-Way 16 years ago, and I can assure you, they were great then and they’re even better now. Thank you all for making our move “almost” pleasant!

We’ve moved thirteen times, and without a doubt, Nestor Amaya of Shur-Way Movers was the best driver we’ve ever had. From the moment he pulled up to the moment he pulled away, Nestor was hands-on, attentive, and completely professional. He took care of every detail with incredible thoroughness, ensuring we could rest easy knowing our belongings were in the best hands.

Nestor didn’t just show up—he led the process. He brought in a phenomenal team of loaders who made quick, careful work of our full truckload. Throughout the move, he stayed actively involved, supervising and assisting the crew to make sure everything was handled with care and efficiency.

Moving can be incredibly stressful, but Nestor’s calm confidence and attention to detail made all the difference. We are so grateful for the top-notch service he provided and would recommend him and Shur-Way Movers without hesitation.

Shurway movers are so careful with our furniture and all belongings. Their driver, Harold Harvey, kept us informed and was quite punctual. Shurway moved us from west central Illiniois to northern Illinois. I would highly recommend Shurway Movers and give them 5 Stars.

Cross state line move from Pewaukee, WI to Plainfield, IL. From Scott helping us understand costs and timing to Rohon, Javier, Martin & Gunner handling our household goods and Tom in AR, everything was flawless. Brad and everyone in the warehouse did an excellent job with our short term storage. This was the longest and heaviest move we’ve ever had and it was by far the least amount of headache. Can’t tell you how good the Shur-way team did with our move. From the initial discussion for the estimate to the workers coming and providing a great understanding of what they were going to do and following through with what they promised. All was done with a very cost focus attention. The team of Tony B Mike, M and Benny were fantastic. They took Care with packing wrapping shipping and moving the product like it was their own in their own house. They did a fantastic job. Nothing was broken and everything was put where it was supposed to go in a timely fashion. They cleaned up as well making sure that everything met our expectations. Cannot recommend them more!

Daniel and his team came in and did everything so efficiently! I mean they were absolutely on the top of their game! Even lent me tools to help take apart my table and pack it down. The 3rd party people never called to crate my table, but Daniel and his team made sure to pack it and give the best of care. These folks were on it! Highly recommend!

I am very late getting this review out. I moved the end of October from Highland Park to Lake Bluff. Very anxious about this move. Went great. The 3 men they sent were professional, polite, kind. Their names are Javier M. , Colt and Marcust. Colt was the leader and did an excellent job keeping me calm. They came in under the estimated time and saved me money. We used Shurway two times, and both times they were amazing! They took great care to wrap all furniture to prevent damages. Both moves were smooth, quick, and efficient. First time we also used their packing service.They took great care to pack everything with padding such that nothing was damaged during the move.

John was especially great. He was handy at taking the furniture apart for the move, and re-assembling everything at the new place.

Shurway was also super accurate and honest with their prices. On the second move, the move actually took less time than initially expected, and they charged me only for the hours they worked (thus I paid less than initially quoted). I worked with Scott B. both times for the quotes and both times it was a breeze.

Exellent service and an all star team!!! I’m compelled to give a shout out to the packing team; Felisha, Becky, & Aileen (not sure how to spell that. My apologies if I didn’t spell it correctly) These ladies are an all star team. Joey J, Neal, and Dresdon were extremely professional and hard working. They arrived promptly and worked well together. They handled our belongings with care and worked efficiently. It was extremely hot on the day of our move and we absolutely could not have made our local move without their help. Shur-Way is very professional. They wrap all your objects nicely, label everything, and even write down everything they packed. The workers have all been super kind and I felt super safe while they were packing my house. I am impressed by how fast they work.

I wish I remembered the rest of the workers names. I just remember John B and Marvin from Ohio, and William with his Illinois crew. Very satisfied will be using them in the future.

I would highly recommend Shur-Way moving. They were very professional and extremely helpful. The movers were great. I am an older woman and they were great when I was packing up the last items they moved the boxes helped me out with tapping them after they were packed. After my experience with Shur-Way I would never use anyone but Shur-Way if I ever have to move again.
