My wife and I had a crew of three (Willie, Tony and Niko) and were moving items to a storage locker and to our new rental. They took great care of our possessions and finished everything very quickly. We will be using them again when we move to our new house later this year

Great experience with Shur-Way. Ryan initially came over and provided the quote based on the ‘stuff’ he saw. Within a few days I called their office and scheduled the move.The morning of, it ended up snowing a few inches. Despite this, the Shur-Way team arrived on time with two trucks. They promptly laid down runners throughout my hallway, discussed what to move first, and got to work. I liked that they clarified if some items were to be moved or not.After the trucks were loaded, they made two stops. One to our temporary housing to drop off a piano, and the final stop to our storage unit. Considering how much ‘stuff’ we had, it only took approx 5 hours to move everything (and it was snowing the whole time). I would recommend them, and would hire them again when we move to our permanent home.

Adam and his crew (I list the paper with everyone’s name) were amazing!!! Our move on March 1 was potentially complicated because not everything in the house was going to our new place. They arrived at 8:30 and never stopped. They were polite, neat and very careful with all of our belongings. If I had to move again, not only would I use shurway but I would specifically ask for this crew!!!!!!

Packers Amanda , Becky. & movers Casey, Dresden, Martin are all very nice & more than accommodating. There seems to be a disconnect between them & office staff & quote personnel. We marked everything out as Scott instructed us to, but when loading and unloading there is not a fluid system. We have incurred some damage and are still unboxing 10 days later. Hopefully we do not find any more damage to the remaining items. Overall I would recommend you contact them if you are considering moving.

We used Shur-Way in 2021 and just used them again. Very happy with the packers, Betsy and Sophia and the loaders and truck driver, Mike Folkes, Matt, Doug L., Mike Perry and Marco P. We’ve had a lot of past moves and I particularly appreciate how much care each of them took to pack properly and wrap the furniture. I moved from a two flat and I know those stairs were a killer for them, but they were all delightful even after a long day. THANK YOU

I just completed a two-day, one-side-of-Illinois-to-the-other move and Shur-way made it successful and awesome!The estimator, Ryan S, was professional, helpful and pretty darn accurate with his estimate. They explained everything and when we called back with questions, they were very willing to answer.Customer service was also great, Lindsey (sp?) was very nice to deal with, answered questions and concerns.The crew that packed us (Chris, Anthony, Eleazar, Julian, Mike, Gunnar) were awesome! Very professional, very careful with the home by laying down mats and ensuring that items were carefully packed, disassembling beds/tables, parts identified and just in general clearing out furniture/boxes from 3 br, 3.5 bath, dining room, family room, kitchen, garage and basement in under 5 hours. Wow! They handled everything well.The crew that unpacked us the next day (Chris, Anthony, Eleazar, Victor) had to come over 3 hours across the state but they were here when they said they’d be here and just as professional, careful and helpful in unpacking – making sure that everything was reassembled correctly, helping ensure furniture was where we wanted it and making the move-in day a complete success!No problems, no broken furniture, and everything accounted for!I’m an experienced mover (thanks to Uncle Sam) and know how to organize for a move. The movers are a huge part of the team and I was treated with respect and able to work with them without any problems at all. I hope I never have to move again, but if I do, I wouldn’t hesitate to use Shurway again!
We recently used Scott at Shur-Way to handle the move into our new home. Moving can be very stressful, but when Scott’s team showed up they were extremely professional, efficient and clean. Casey, Aiden, and Matthew moved us out of our third floor walk-up in Chicago and were so great! They worked so hard, and weren’t deterred by the rain or the incredible heat. Casey seemed to be a great team lead and was organized, detailed, specific and very approachable with all our questions and concerns. I would definitely request that team if I had to do it again.
I can’t say enough about how incredible Shur-Way Moving was in every regard when my family moved to a new house. Every single team member was motivated and considerate as they loaded our belongings and unloaded at the new house. Colt was the team lead and it becomes obvious fast that he is a pro’s pro..meaning he has been doing this a long time. Their team moved with precision and did not waste valuable time. A big shout out to our Driver and unloader, Javier! He was a Superstar and a workhorse. His unload team was almost 5 hours late and Javier just started unloading everything by himself, mattresses, beds, boxes, tables. Moving is stressful, but both the team of ladies packing and team of guys loading really made it smooth and efficient. Becky and her team did an excellent job packing up my items into boxes and were wonderful to work with. Very professional and hard working group of ladies. Tim, Jedavon, Dresden, and Thad loaded my items onto the truck and were prompt, professional and respectful of my household items and furniture and as an added bonus they were also very friendly and personable. They took great care to make sure everything was protected properly before loading it on the truck and that my house and walls were not damaged when moving the big items through tight spaces and down the stairs. I move a lot and this is one of the better if not best experiences I’ve had with a crew. Highly recommend Shur-way movers!!!

10/10 recommend!My unload team was: Adam, Willy, Javier, Brian, and Xavier. Moving is stressful-Working with this team was anything but! They were professional, kind, polite, and personable. They were respectful to me, my stuff, my pup, and my toddler (acting supervisor lol) They exceeded my expectations. For example, I tried to help carry some stuff, but was told no, as it’s their job. I sat back and didn’t need to lift a finger. They not only offered, but encouraged me to utilize them to help arrange furniture to my liking. Those saints moved my livingroom couches probably three times until I was satisfied with the placement. No poor attitudes about making numerous treks to the basement and attic, just positive attitudes and exceptional team work. They hoisted a VERY heavy dresser up and over my small upstairs banister. Not a single scratch in my house. They were very thorough with the paperwork at the end, made sure I knew what I was signing for, and gave me detailed instructions on what to do if I needed to file a claim for any damaged property. Military moves every 3 years isn’t my cup of tea, but Shur-Way and this team specifically made it as easy and stress-free as possible. Dominoes pizza doesn’t seem like enough to express my gratitude to these guys, but hope a review helps! The team of women that packed our boxes did an amazing job. They were beyond helpful and so efficient. They took a lot of stress off of our plate. Our mover John and his team were incredible. I would highly recommend Shur-Way moving. They were very professional and extremely helpful. The movers were great. I am an older woman and they were great when I was packing up the last items they moved the boxes helped me out with tapping them after they were packed. After my experience with Shur-Way I would never use anyone but Shur-Way if I ever have to move again.
